Startup Of The Week: Synthesia

Synthesia, a UK-based AI video creation platform for enterprise, counts nearly half of the Fortune 500 as its customers. Companies such as Heineken, BSH and Xerox use its platform to automatically generate videos with virtual avatars.

“The goal is to make creating a video as easy as making a PowerPoint,” Co-founder and CEO Victor Riparbelli said during an interview in Davos. The company is one of 100 members of the Forum’s Innovator community invited to the 2024 World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, which took place January 15—19.

The UK scaleup’s platform allows any enterprise user, from HR managers to salespeople, to easily create high-quality instructional videos by typing in a script which is turned into a video featuring stock or custom AI avatars. Voice overs are offered in 140 languages.
