LightOn, a Paris-based startup, offers enterprise customers an alternative to U.S. large language models such as OpenAI’s GPT-3. One of its key differentiators is a strong focus on data sovereignty and security. It is currently running pilots with several companies including EDF, the French multinational electric utility company and Arte, a French-German television channel.
