Interview Of The Week: Philippe Dewost, CEO of EPITA

Who: Philippe Dewost, a veteran tech industry executive, is CEO of EPITA, one of the leading French schools in computer science and software engineering and the author of a recently published book entitled “De Mémoire Vive”, which details the evolution of the IT industry. He is also an operating partner in France’s C4V venture capital fund. Since co-founding Wanadoo, a leading European Internet Service Provider, Dewost has successfully launched consumer services, software startups, technology ecosystems, and corporate transformation programs. Topic: How business should think about Web3 and the evolution of tech. Quote: “CEOs need to hire real CTOs and be willing to spend money on technology and make tradeoffs that are going to dissatisfy their CFOs. The European companies that survive will have CTOs that have the same say and power as their CFOs.”
